What a wet, wet, wet, WET spring so far!
Yesterday however, was a great day. I think it rained every where but our farm.
We were able to plant a lot of veggies. After we had 2 rows to plant the sky opened up and it poured rain. Couldn’t ask for a better day….sun for planting and a good rain for the freshly planted produce.
- Cauliflower
- Broccoli
- Green and Red Cabbage
- Red and Blue Kale
- Kohlrabi
- More plantings of green and yellow beans, French beans, beets, peas
The following day we planted our herbs:
- Basil
- Chocolate mint
- Lemon mint
- Mint
- Lavender
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Parsley
- we have a few more herbs to plant..just waiting for the seed.
A few more weeks and you will be able to buy herbs at the market.
Asparagus has been growing like a weed with this warm weather-just what it likes. Currently we are only open Wednesdays and Saturdays. However, yesterday (Monday) we decided to open due to a large amount of asparagus. If you see our Trailer up at the parking lot it means we are open.
I got to talk to our wonderful customers from last year and meet new customers too. I even woke up to a very positive e-mail from a customer who was very pleased with our fresh asparagus.
Hope you’re long weekend was filled with sun and laughter.
