Frustration, Helplessness, Fear, Anger…. are some emotions that get stirred in me when thinking about Crop deseases. There are many deseases that good cultural practices can eliminate your risk of infection but then there are some in certain crops that are air born and weather dependant. Thanks to modern computer modleing we have a better idea of when conditions are suited for infection to put us on alert. We are always looking for new biological or cultural methods of controlling desease. It is a constant battle to manage the cost of protection with the potential loss if infected.
